Yes, I know… Bad Penny Opera still isn’t finished, but it’s getting closer and closer, I promise!  We recently recorded orchestration for “Start Again”.  The lovely Brittany Cotto played the many violin tracks and they’re super!  Next week it’s horns for ” A Better Place, Wear Your Love Like Heaven and As Above So Below!  As was the case for Transit of Venus, my pal Arlan Schierbaum guested on keys, this time playing his main axe, Hammond organ on By Your Leave, A True Heart Wears A Thorny Crown and Start Again.  As a bonus, he fixed my RMI electric piano!Meanwhile, just a little bit of tracking for Geeology…

… and putting the finishing touches on our website…

… still tracking Ben Gunn Society’s latest project and some tunes with the very talented and successful British singer-songwriter Neil Ormandy…

… Deborah is in Texas.  She’ll be back on Wednesday…

… another new song for the next album!  It’s called Seven League Boots… (the song, not the album).  The working title for the next album is… well, I’ll save that for later.  It may be in bad taste to publish that before BPO is released!  Anyway, as I mentioned earlier, we have a plan to release the next one in a non-traditional fashion.  But, continuing on…

… I got a groovy new pair of shades …

… we’ll be in Montana later this month for the opening of David Swanson’s show.  His (very) fine art railroad-themed paintings will be going on the road about the country.

… looking forward to this year’s Int’l Pop Overthrow in July (we’ll be at The Joint) …

So, don’t be fooled by the appearance of… well, the lack of appearance.  Once we’re finished with BPO there will be a whirlwind of Cherry Bluestorms activity!  Oh, happy day!!
