Hello, Bluestorms fans! Happy Easter! Glen here.
….
Well, usually when I blog it’s when I have something to say. But today we’ll be casual. After all, it’s a holiday.
….
I know you’ve all been hearing about the mythical second album for awhile now. We’ve been planning to release it June 1 for quite some time. It doesn’t look like we’ll make that deadline, but it shouldn’t be too far off of that. Other projects and health issues have interceded, but we’re working away anyway and it’s all coming together very nicely.
….
So, about some of the other projects:
….
David Tenczar, head Greatcoat, released The Greatcoats’ eponymous debut album. Yours Truly played the electric guitars, a few acoustic-electrics, drums on one song and Wurli on one song. It’s a swell record and I recommend that you check it out. My personal faves are Stop, All Over and the second half of The Scarce Few.
….
The Ben Gunn Society was kind enough to have me engineer and mix their eponymous debut and mix their second album, Sovereignty. Pirate lore lovers from all seven seas have flown their flags for these whimsical swashbucklers. I have been engaged to produce their forthcoming E.P. Preproduction has already begun and recording is to begin in two weeks.
….
I was very pleased to record some tracks for an upcoming episode of CSI Las Vegas. I don’t yet know when the episode will air, so watch this (my)space!
….
Deborah Gee fans will be pleased to learn that her second solo album, “Geeology” is also on the board. About half of the tracks are well on their way to completion, including Simple Things, Caterpillar, Amazing Grace and Rare Bird. I’m really happy about the way the tunes are turning out and they’re quite a turn from The Bluestorms.
….
Speaking of The Bluestorms, believe it or not, one of the “other projects” is The Cherry Bluestorms’ as yet untitled third album! We have been writing away and already have enough songs for the album. We have decided upon a relatively novel approach to releasing the album, but more about that later! First, we need to finish Bad Penny Opera!
….
So, all you White Rabbits and Eggmen, Goo Goo Ga Joob, feed your heads and may you always spring forward…
