As you know, The Cherry Bluestorms parted with a small piece of their immense fortune to pay for promotion.  Their man in Liverpool has managed some Internet Podcast, reviews and interview action, with more to come.  Their pro radio promoter in the U.S. sent BPO to 50 college stations and it is getting rotation at about 30 stations so far.  By his calculation The Bluestorms will hit the CMJ Radio 200 Top 30 in a few days.  In addition to that the band are planning to work with another promoter who will be aiming at commercial stations.  They are likely to launch a similar promotion in the U.S. and follow that up with a focused 10 station campaign here and a much more extensive UK campaign.  In the “more good news” department, famous Rock critic and author Harvey Kubernik has lent his name to The Bluestorms’ efforts and as a result we expect positive reviews in Goldmine and Shindig!, top publications for their swath of the pop topography.  So… the band has not been idle.  We hope that these efforts and The Cherry Bluestorms’ greater visibility around town will result in better attended shows.  A special effort is being made for the BPO premiere, June 23 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, so any particular help on that end will surely be appreciated.

“What about new music?”, you ask.  It’s no secret that there is a new album already in the works.  What you may not know is that there is also a single that should be out in the very near future.  One of the tracks will feature the first track recorded with new drummer Mark Francis White!

See you at the BPO premiere!

Yours,

Winston
