The Cherry Bluestorms are proud to participate in honouring one of our local treasures. Earle Mankey’s storied career includes his stint as the original guitarist in Sparks, being the engineer at The Beach Boys’ Brother Records, producing Elton John, Helen Reddy, Concrete Blonde (featuring his brother, Jim Mankey), The Runaways, The Quick, The Pop, David Swanson, Three o’ Clock and Arthur Brown amongst others. He is probably best known and best loved for being the go-to producer for L.A. indie bands for the past 30 years. Aside from having produced The Dickies prior to The Bluestorms’ Glen Laughlin having joined that band, he also produced Glen’s first band, The Skin Trade.
Highly recommended! A splendid time is guaranteed for all!
