OCTOBER 2019 NEWS

THANK YOU, SAN DIEGO!
Just prior to our scheduled performance on KUSI’s “Good Morning San Diego” September 20 to promote our performance the following evening at the Adams Avenue Street Fair, we got the news that our drummer Gow was waylaid in Europe and would be unable to attend either performance! What to do??! Our multi-talented bassist Nate Myer took over on the drums. That left us short one bassist, until our longtime associate Steve Giles stepped into the breach and saved the day! Completing the line-up at the festival was keyboardist Jeffrey Howell. We ended up having a splendid time at KUSI, whose staff could not have been more accommodating. Couldn’t catch our performance on your TV that morning? Video is now available on KUSI’s website here. We thoroughly enjoyed the following day’s festivities—good food from the fair’s vendors, meeting new fans who came to hear us after seeing us on TV, seeing and hearing some of our fave San Diego bands and getting to perform at the fair for the very first time! Thanks for having us, San Diego! We look forward to the next time.

THE KNUCKLEHEADS
A few days after returning from San Diego, Glen was interviewed for a pre-recorded radio show hosted by famed DJ The Insane Darrell Wayne, joined by his cohorts The Knuckleheads. Glen recorded a few songs while he was at it. Stay tuned for info on when the segments will be broadcast!

MAY I SEE YOUR BADGE?
Our logo badges have been quite the hit! Still don’t have one? We are offering one free badge per transaction when you purchase any merchandise from our website store. While supplies last! Click here for music, and here for t-shirts, bundles, and posters.

PAST, PRESENT & FUTURE
We have caught you up on the very recent past, but we have a sampling of past efforts in the works. Some of you have heard that we will be publishing a book featuring the complete Cherry Bluestorms lyrics to date. The project is still in the works and we’ll let you know the minute we have a release date scheduled. In other news, we are putting the finishing touches on Deborah’s Geeology album and Glen’s first solo album, Halflife, after which work can start in earnest on the next Cherry Bluestorms album. A final note: Glen has been asked to contribute to respected author Ken Kubernik’s forthcoming book commemorating 50 years since the death of Jimi Hendrix. What happens after that is anyone’s guess, but we will try to keep it interesting and we’ll keep you good people in the loop!
