From the desk of Glen Laughlin:
“As many of you know, we mounted the first “Live at Roundhouse Recording” on April 1st. It was a nearly unqualified success. We did have some minor technical difficulties at the start of the performance, but nothing unusual for a live performance and particularly for the first such event at this venue. We got through that and it seems a good time was had by all. The performance was notable as the first with the new, improved Cherry Bluestorms. Many thanks and kudos to new members Gene Barry White (drums), Nathaniel Myer (bass) and Matt Brown (Hammond organ and Wurlitzer electronic piano). We are in the process of booking more shows. Matt will make his first appearance on a Bluestorms recording this Monday! Meanwhile, we have been putting in some work on Deborah Gee’s Geeology album as well as the finishing touches for Whirligig!”

Starting now, we have some of our merchandise available as lower priced “bundles”, exclusively through our website. If you or one of your friends is missing more than one of our discs from your collection, this is a great opportunity to fill in some gaps! Offer valid through April 30.

We’ve done a bit of tweaking on our YouTube page to highlight our new music video, but also to add a “behind the scenes” section featuring video clips from the road, rehearsals, and more. More to come, so head on over and check out some of the videos, subscribe to our channel, and leave us comments letting us know what you think!

We are excited to announce that we will be returning to the stage at Tower District Records in Fresno on Sunday, June 17! Bob Lambert and staff have been big Bluestorms supporters over the years and we are always thrilled to be invited to their fine establishment. Time and additional details are still TBA, but mark it on your calendar (BTW, June 17 just happens to be Glen’s birthday! Come and help us celebrate!!). In the meantime, you can prep for our visit by dropping by the store and picking up any of our titles—they are carrying them all!
